As many as 25 phone-hacking cases against News International are to be heard jointly at the beginning of 2012, with five high-profile individuals acting as lead claimants.
Allen, who is also representing MP Tessa Jowell and former deputy prime minister John Prescott in connection with phone hacking, is acting for Bryant.
Gascoigne is represented by Steel & Shamash partner Gerald Shamash, Andrew has turned to Mishcon de Reya partner Charlotte Harris, and Law and Hoppen are being advised by Atkins Thompson Solicitors partner Mark Thompson.
The cases are due to be heard in London’s High Court in January. Other counsel involved include Jeremy Reed of Hogarth Chambers, David Sherbourne of 5RB and Sara Mansoori of Matrix.
