Lovells has promoted 19 to its partnership, pushing the firm’s total tally of partners up to 365 across its international network.

The promotions are spread across the firm’s international network with Continental Europe gaining 10 partners, with one being made up in Asia and two gaining partnership in the US. Meanwhile, the firm’s London office has received six new partners.

The corporate practice has received the bulk of the promotions, gaining six new partners. Dispute resolution has received three while employment and intellectual property, media and technology (IPMT) have both gained two.

The rest of the promotions have been spread evenly between pensions, real estate, competition, capital markets, project finance as well as insurance and reinsurance, all gaining one partner apiece.

Senior partner John Young (pictured) said: “These appointments reflect a broad spectrum of practice areas and jurisdictions, and are testament to Lovells’ investment in its associates within areas of strategic importance for the long-term development of the firm.”

Last year Lovells promoted 18 to its partnership, having made up a bumpber 31 the previous year (11 April 2008).
