The Law Society is listed in 75th place on the Business Superbrands list, which ranks the UK’s top 500 businesses according to how strong their brands are considered to be.
Eversheds, which ranked 263rd on the list in 2007, ranks 214th on this year’s list and sits above all four magic circle firms.
That said, magic circle firm Clifford Chance has also climbed up the rankings to number 225, compared to its position of 240 in 2007. Linklaters was rated 238th, while Freshfelds Bruckhaus Deringer stood at number 282 and Allen & Overy at 323.
Slaughter and May was ranked 286th.
The Lawyer was also included on the list and ranked at number 398, ahead of Lovells (435) and Simmons & Simmons (477).
Superbrands compiles the annual list by initially carrying out independent research and receiving public nominations. The final list is drawn up by combining the views of the marketing professionals who make up the Superbrands expert council with those from over 1,700 individual business professionals from across the UK.
