Italy’s Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners is relocating finance partner Raimondo Premonte to London in a bid to boost its City presence.
Premonte will head a newly formed corporate finance department in the City and will be the second partner at Gianni Origoni in London, joining capital markets partner Marco Zaccagnini, who heads the office.
Other lawyers will relocate to London in the course of 2012. Gianni Origoni only practises Italian law in the UK.
Gianni Origoni managing partner Tomaso Cenci said there was an “ever-growing relationship” between the firm’s London and Abu Dhabi offices and its India and China desks, making the London office a core part of its international strategy.
Premonte has been a partner at Gianni Origoni in Rome since 2005 and advises on the corporate finance aspects of M&A and corporate law.
