Indian firm FoxMandal Little has hired IP specialist Vinay Dwarkadas from the Mumbai office of rival Khaitan & Co.
Dwarkadas, who was a senior associate at Khaitan, joined FoxMandal as a partner today.
In a statement FoxMandal’s managing partner Som Mandal said Dwarkadas’ depth of experience and energy would be a welcome addition to the firm.
“We look forward to his involvement with our firm and ultimately [his] being the backbone of the firm’s IP practice,” added Mandal.
The IP lawyer has handled contentious and non contentious trademark and copyright-related matters for clients such as Tata Consultancy Services, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, The Indian Hotels Co and Sony Entertainment.
FoxMandal, established in 1896, is India’s largest full-service law firm with 400 lawyers.
