Ince & Co has launched an office in Monaco focusing on shipping and energy.
The firm announced on 1 August that it had been granted a licence to practise English law in the principality, operating as Ince & Co Monaco. The new office is expected to provide proximity to the firm’s shipping, international trade, offshore energy and yachting clients.
Partner Ian Cranston, who also heads the firm’s Italy team, has relocated to Monaco to lead the practice, and will be joined by solicitor Ruth Monahan. Cranston has a particular focus on dry shipping, international trade and commodities, and energy and offshore work.
In a statement, Ince & Co senior partner James Wilson said: “Our new Monaco office underlines our commitment to clients in the principality. For many years we’ve advised them from our other offices in Europe and we’re now responding to demands for a more immediate service.”
In April, Ince & Co expanded into Singapore through an alliance with local firm Incisive Law (7 April 2011).
Ince & Co also has offices in Dubai, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Le Havre, London, Paris, Piraeus and Shanghai.
