HBJ Gateley has hired a trio of partners from three different firms to give its Scottish practice a boost.
HBJ has hired corporate recovery specialists Craig Darling and Tim Cooper, from Dundas & Wilson and Squire Sanders, respectively, and real estate expert Caroline James from Tods Murray. All three were partners at their respective firms and join HBJ as partners.
Darling and James will both be based in HBJ’s Glasgow office, while Cooper, who is relocating from Manchester, will be based in Edinburgh and will split his time between that office and Glasgow.
The three new additions follow the hire of Alison Newton from McGrigors in October 2011 to lead the firm’s Glasgow office.
In a statement, Newton said: “The firm’s in a good position to build on growth over the last 12 months and we’ve always taken the view that having the right people in place is an absolutely critical aspect of that.
“We’re actively looking for new people who can drive growth in our key sectors across the firm and we’re very confident of achieving that based on the appointments we’ve made in recent weeks.”
