Offshore firm Harneys has added to its Hong Kong team with the hire of Ogier partner Timothy Bridges.
Bridges previously headed Ogier’s Cayman Islands law practice in Asia. His hire follows the January relocation of Harneys funds partner Jonathan Culshaw to Hong Kong to bulk up the office (5 January 2012).
The firm now has three partners, including litigator Ian Mann, based full time in Hong Kong, with global managing partner Richard Peters splitting his time between the jurisdiction and the British Virgin Islands.
Culshaw said it was essential for firms in Hong Kong to weight their offices towards “capable senior lawyers” who can meet clients’ demanding timeframes in Asia.
Bridges is the latest in a string of hires for Harneys, which is building up its Cayman practice in particular around the world.
