A group of senior associates from Slaughter and May’s German best friend Hengeler Mueller have left the firm to launch their own corporate boutique.
Five senior associates – Philipp von Bismarck, Matthias Budde, Frank Fischer, Lars Ferenc Freytag and Karl Thomas Koenen – have left Hengeler to found Wendelstein Rechtsanwälte.
The five associates are joined by Daniel Müller-Etienne, who left Hengeler Mueller in 2009 to join Boston Consulting Group’s corporate development practice group.
All six lawyers advise on M&A and corporate law. On top of this, von Bismarck has experience in real estate; Budde in insolvency and restructuring; Fischer in litigation; and Müller-Etienne in Tax.
