Forsters former corporate head Jeremy Whiteson has left the firm to join West End rival Fladgate.
He was replaced as corporate head by former Withers partner Craigey Pearson in April.
Whiteson specialises in three areas: working with start-up businesses, property fund and structures, and corporate restructuring and insolvency.
Fladgate senior partner Charles Wander said: “Despite the recession, we’ve continued to look for people who have the right kind of practice to complement the firm.
“Jeremy has a diverse corporate practice and that’s something we like to encourage. Insolvency is starting to come back, so to bring in someone with a solid, technical background in this area was very attractive. I think he’ll fit in very well here.”
Whiteson added: “The strength of Fladgate’s business and reputation in my core areas, and the firm’s proactive, partner-led approach, offers an exciting opportunity for me to further develop my practice.”
The news comes after Fladgate brought in media litigator Lawrence Abramson from Harbottle & Lewis last month (15 June 2010).
