Ex-Ashurst partner Kendall becomes CEO at investment house

Former Ashurst finance partner Richard Kendall has been appointed CEO of Glendevon King Asset Management (GKAM).

Kendall joined GKAM in February 2010 as general counsel and later director of the fixed income boutique based in London, Guernsey and Luxembourg.

He will continue to take responsibility for the company’s legal side as part of the central management role.

Kendall specialises in debt products, and was a partner in Ashurst’s international finance department for 15 years until leaving for GKAM.

GKAM instructs outside firms including Charles Russell, Field Fisher Waterhouse and Gordons in Leeds, as well as Loyens & Loeff in Luxembourg.

GKAM founder and chairman Alastair King said: “Richard’s senior level experience in the finance sector as a partner at a highly-regarded City law firm will be hugely valuable as we grow Glendevon King Asset Management.”
