While no date has been set for when the pair will join the firm, Stephenson Harwood confirmed that they will be joining “in due course”.

During his time at Eversheds, Cripps helped the Ministry of Justice set up the procurement framework for its £1.2bn prisons PFI programme (19 October 2009).

Last year he advised the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham on one of the first Building Schools for the Future (BSF) deals to close since the coalition Government put the BSF programme on hold (8 November 2010).

Carter, who specialises in PFI, PPP and outsourcing projects, advises clients from both the public and private sectors.

Eversheds declined to comment on the departures.
