Eversheds has increased its presence in Copenhagen with the addition of two lawyers.
Kim Høibye joins as head of the office’s banking, finance and capital markets team, while Diana Huo Sørensen joins as a Chinese-qualified legal consultant.
Høibye was previously a lawyer at Danish firm Lett. He has experience in establishing and operating investment vehicles and collective investment schemes.
Huo Sørensen joins from China-based Guangdong Guozhi Law Firm, where she was a partner. She will advise on Chinese investment in to Denmark and Danish companies on Chinese legal matters. She specialises in Chinese commercial law matters.
These appointments follow a wave of departures from Eversheds Copenhagen over the past year.
In March 2011 it was announced that partners Hans Juhler and Mogens Vind were leaving the firm (31 March 2011).
News of Sam Jalaei’s departure along with two associates and a member of support staff came in December 2010. He was hired by Lett just months after being named co-senior office partner (14 December 2010).
Managing partner Troels Askerud announced he was to quit the firm in October 2010 (15 October 2010).
In March this year Eversheds Copenhagen tried to heal its wounds by hiring a team from Danish firm Accura (31 March 2011).
