DWF has bulked up its burgeoning Newcastle practice with banking partner from Dickinson Dees.
Deborah Kirtley, who was head of banking at Dickinson Dees, will be tasked with growing DWF’s banking and finance practice in the North East. Kirtley acts for both banks and borrowers and has particular expertise advising on the funding of property acquisitions, development transactions and corporate acquisitions.
DWF announced its plan to launch a full-service practice in Newcastle in May 2011 after hiring corporate lawyer John Flynn, also from Dickinson Dees, as executive partner (6 May 2011).
In November 2011 the firm announced that as of 1 January 2012 it was merging with Crutes in Newcastle, a £5m firm with 16 partners across three offices (25 November 2011).
