DLA Piper has hired a five-partner energy team from Hogan Lovells in the US.
Hogan Lovells partners Lee Alexander, Stefan Krantz, John Lilyestrom, Kevin Lipson and Christopher Schindler will all join DLA’s energy group in Washington, DC. At Hogan Lovells Lipson was head of the energy practice and co-head of the firm’s global energy industry group.
According to DLA Piper the additions will create a full-service energy practice at the DC office. The group has collective expertise advising on interstate natural gas pipelines, oil pipelines, local distribution companies, investor-owned electric utilities, alternative energy project developments, shale oil and natural gas developers, storage companies, financial institutions, energy trading platforms and LNG project participants.
In a statement, DLA Piper’s global chair of corporate and finance Roger Meltzer said: “These are among the best energy lawyers in the country, and the addition of this dynamic group underscores our commitment to building one of the world’s premier energy practices.
“Our clients will benefit greatly from this team’s extensive and impressive regulatory credentials.”
