The set has created the new role for Landais in a bid to improve its profile and strengthen its three core practice areas of commercial, employment and personal injury.

Head of chambers Colin Edelman QC said: “Turnover is going up and it’s the increase in turnover that has provided us with the recourses to hire someone to manage our business needs.”

Eldelman said Landais would be looking at the set’s structure and expanding its numbers when she joins in August.

Landais said: “My job is to unlock the potential of that talent for the benefit of clients and to advance the business. It is about taking the set to the next level”.

The move comes after Hardwicke Buildings hired Matrix Chambers practice director Amanda Illing earlier this month (11 May).
