US firm Davis Polk & Wardwell has turned to Shearman & Sterling to bulk up its French corporate team.
Jacques Naquet-Radiguet, previously deputy managing partner and head of the corporate group in Shearman’s Paris office, joins Davis Polk as a partner.
Naquet-Radiguet’s clients include chemicals giant Rhodia and the Société du Louvre. He acts on M&A, joint ventures and private equity transactions both within France and internationally. He joined the Shearman partnership in 2004.
Davis Polk managing partner Thomas Reid said the firm was positioning itself for “the largest and most complex M&A transactions in France.”
The hire is the latest in a string of lateral moves in the busy Paris market, which has seen unprecedented recruitment activity during the first months of 2011 (11 April 2011).
