Curtis Mallet-Prevost bulks up London with two partner moves

US firm Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle has bulked up its London office by relocating two partners and a senior associate from around its network.

The firm is moving energy and private equity partner David Hesse from its Paris office, along with private equity, venture capital, M&A and capital markets partner Peter Stewart, who has previously worked in the firm’s Dubai and New York offices, and senior associate Colby Jenkins, who has worked in Curtis Mallet-Prevost’s investment group in New York, Almaty and Paris.

Curtis Mallet-Prevost has also moved its London team to larger offices at 99 Gresham Street in the City.

Curtis Mallet-Prevost chairman George Kahale said in a statement: “Curtis views London as a key venue for our international practice, particularly in international funds, restructuring, venture capital, M&A, mid-market private equity and our growing international arbitration practice.”

Charles Buderi, co-managing partner of the London office, added: “This expansion of talent and resources and our rededication to the London market is a reflection of our firm’s continued emphasis on international work and our commitment to Europe and London in particular.”

Curtis Mallet-Prevost’s London office opened in 1981 and practice areas include energy, securities, private equity and funds, finance, international dispute resolution and general project and infrastructure development work.
