Brick Court silk defects to Serle Court

Brick Court Chambers silk Conor Quigley QC has left the set to join Lincoln’s Inn chambers Serle Court.

The specialist EU barrister, who took silk in 2003, joined Serle Court earlier this month.  It is a rare loss for Brick Court, which last month added commercial and EU barrister Nicholas Saunders to its ranks.

Quigley said Serle Court’s international practice had attracted him to the set. “I believe that my interests, which cover a broad range of EU-related commercial matters, are perfectly suited to Serle Court’s areas of practice,” he said. “The international nature of much of my work makes Serle Court an ideal choice.”

The move comes after the set added Court of Appeal (CoA) civil division vice-president Sir Mark Waller to its alternative dispute resolution panel as an arbitrator and mediator (5 July 2010).
