Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has boosted its corporate practice in London with a funds specialist from Nabarro.
Justin Cornelius, who made partner at Nabarro in 2003, will join BLP as a partner in the London corporate practice. No start date has been confirmed.
Cornelius specialises in investment funds and complex joint ventures in real estate, advising institutional funds and investors public and private property companies and fund managers. The hire comes off the back of BLP’s aim to build its private equity real estate capabilities.
Cornelius’ departure comes as two more Nabarro partners say goodbye to the firm. Marc Isaacs, a London-based acquisition finance specialist who joined the firm from Jones Day in 2008 (17 November 2008), has left for McGuireWoods while dispute resolution partner James Hartley, who was based in Sheffield and was the firm’s client relationship partner for Sports Direct, has also exited the partnership, although it is not yet known where he has gone.
Nabarro declined to comment.
