Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has made a double lateral hire, adding partners to its corporate finance and asset finance practices.
Alexander Keepin joins the firm’s corporate finance group from Charles Russell, where he was also a partner. He will join the firm next month.
Keepin said his aim was to build a new mining practice team for BLP that would complement it’s existing practice.
Meanwhile, the firm’s asset management practice has been boosted with the appointment of Keith Wilson. Wilson quit as Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker London asset finance head to join London commercial boutique Ingram Winter Green as a consultant in November last year.
The additions are the latest in a series of high-profile appointments for BLP including former Herbert Smith partner Rupert Ticehurst (7 February 2011), Darren Allen, who formerly headed DLA Piper’s financial services team, and former Pinsent Masons financial services partner Jacob Ghanty (17 January 2011).
