The Indonesian associated firm of Australia’s Blake Dawson has expanded with the addition of one partner and 13 associates.
Oentoeng Suria & Partners (OSP) has taken on partner Atik Susanto, who currently runs Susanto & Partners, and his team.
Blake Dawson has been in association with OSP since July last year, when the firm was formed by a team that broke away from existing Jakarta firm Soebagjo Jatim Djarot (SJD). Blake Dawson had a longstanding alliance with SJD.
Susanto’s practice focuses on M&A, banking and finance, corporate, restructuring and capital markets.
In a statement Susanto said: “This move will bring together the local touch and the international expertise of both OSP and Susanto & Partners. The enlarged team will also enable the firm to handle bigger and more numerous deals without sacrificing client attention and client focus.”
Blake Dawson managing partner John Carrington added that his firm’s clients in Australia, China and Japan would benefit from Susanto’s “expert counsel”.
“Atik already enjoys a strong reputation among Singapore and Hong Kong-based firms for his expertise in managing transactions and other projects in Indonesia, and has been involved in several significant matters involving clients of our firm,” he said.
