Beachcroft has promoted nine to the partnership, with the focus heavily on dispute resolution for the second consecutive year.
The firm made up six partners in 2008, with four added to the litigation team. This year five have made the grade.
“Beachcroft is continuing to implement a planned programme of targeted growth in our key business areas, despite the current business climate,” said managing partner Paul Murray.
With the exception of Emma Bate and John Dunlop in the commercial services practice, all other promotions were made in the firm’s regional offices with Leeds taking four into the fold. This includes Ian Cooper and Peter Merchant in the clinical and healthcare division of the dispute resolution practice.
The Bristol office saw two promotions, Tom Baker to the dispute resolution practice and Katy Horner to the employment and pensions practice. In Manchester Claire Bushen also joined the dispute resolution partnership.
Murray said three of the promotions, Dunlop, Bate and Bushen, had trained with the firm and it was the firm’s aim to “keep Beachcroft people in Beachcroft”.
The firm has also made up 16 associates, seven of which are based in Bristol.
“I remain cautiously optimistic about both our results this year and our potential for next year,” said Murray. “Our confidence in our business is demonstrated in these promotions.”
