Partners Robert Adam in London and Frank Castiglia in Sydney led the team acting for the Australian mining company. Partner Tim Sheddick and associates Hilary Owens, Laura Watson, Kate Jefferson and Elisha Branston also worked on the deal.
DLA Piper, led by partner Charles Severs, acted for sponsor Investec and joint broker Ambrian Partners.
The deal marks only the second time an Australian firm has been admitted with a primary listing on the main LSE market.
Bakers also advised on the first of these deals, acting for International Ferro Metals on its listing in 2007. Adam said that he believed this experience helped the firm secure the new mandate.
Castiglia added: “This deal demonstrates Baker & McKenzie’s one -stop shop legal capability to deliver a seamless service to our client from our London and Sydney offices.”
