Bird & Bird has made up just two lawyers in its annual partnership promotions round, eight fewer than last year and 12 down on the number promoted in 2009.
Both lawyers, Sophie Eyre and Helen Gavin-Brown, are in the technology-led firm’s London office.
Eyre is a member of Bird & Bird’sinternational dispute resolution group and has been with the firm since it acquired aviation boutique Lane & Partners in 2008.
Gavin-Brown, a corporate specialist, has been with Bird & Bird for six years.
Bird & Bird’s CEO David Kerr said the appointments reflected the pair’s “sustained delivery of outstanding client service”.
During the course of last year Bird & Bird also made up two additional lawyers, both based on the Continent, to its partnership.
In contrast, over the past two years Bird & Bird has made 15 lateral hires.
