Lincoln’s Inn set 11 Stone Buildings had added insolvency silk Lexa Hilliard QC to its membership.
Hilliard, who took silk in 2009, joins the set from 3-4 South Square, where she has been since she was called to the bar in 1987. Prior to being called she lectured in law at Durham University and was part of the in-house legal team at Lloyds Bank.
In recent years Hilliard has been involved in some of the biggest litigation in the High Court, including acting for the liquidators of Madoff Securities International Limited, Grant Thornton.
11 Stone Buildings head of chambers Edward Cohen said: “Her outstanding ability and breadth of experience will further enhance our reputation as a leading commercial and chancery set.”
Hilliars is the second silk to join 11 Stone Buildings in the last six months following the arrival of Jeremy Cousins QC last December.
