Automotive and cycling retailer Halfords has launched its search for a new general counsel and company secretary just 18 months after hiring current head of legal Justin Richards.

Richards decided to leave the company in September, The Lawyer understands. He joined last year from Kellogg’s.

Halford’s chosen candidate will lead a team of two lawyers with a focus on commercial contracts, trademark and patent licensing and managing the company’s IP portfolio.
