Addleshaw Goddard hires partner Richard Clayton to finance litigation team

Addleshaw Goddard has announced that it has hired finance litigation expert and partner Richard Clayton, who joins the London office as a partner from TLT, where he specialised in finance litigation and contentious regulatory work.

Clayton’s experience lies in advising banks, funds, investment managers and other financial institutions on a range of contentious matters. This has involved a varied range of investment products and structures, including derivatives and structured finance, securitisations, bonds, mandate and prospectus issues and regulatory investigations and enforcement action.

He has experience of working in house within banks, having completed a seven-month secondment with the litigation team at Barclays’ investment banking division in 2010 and 2011, and this year within the bank’s group litigation team.
