As many of you will recall, the need for and workability of the Public Sector Equality Duty imposed by the last government has received much debate, in particular as to how it would sit in the procurement process. No doubt the Coalition government’s current tensions explain why this continues to be unresolved.
On Friday 6 September, the relevant minister, the Rt Hon Maria Miller MP, issued a statement during the course of the afternoon following an independent review.
