DLA Piper has announced that Darryl Steinhause, a San Diego-based partner in the law firm’s corporate and real-estate capital markets practices, has been named as one of the ‘Top 100 Lawyers in California’ by the Daily Journal.
The 100 lawyers profiled were nominated by their colleagues, clients, non-profit organisations, and the Daily Journal editorial staff. More than 700 nominees were received and editors narrowed down the honourees based on those whose work has changed an industry, the law or society as a whole.
Steinhause was recognised for his innovative deal structuring. He conceived the legal structure for the modern TIC syndication transaction. Recognised as one of the foremost professionals in the industry, Steinhause is at the forefront of the DST and TIC in developing new structures. Today, he is involved in transactions surrounding umbrella partnership real-estate investment trusts (UPREITS).
