Reed Smith has formalised a two-year relationship with Greek firm Papapolitis & Papapolitis, signing a strategic alliance effective from this month.
The two firms have been in an informal working relationship for two years but will now join forces for Greek projects and transactions.
Reed Smith already has an office in the Greek city of Piraeus, inherited from its 2007 merger with Richards Butler. The office focuses on shipping, corporate and litigation work.
Meanwhile, Papapolitis & Papapolitis provides full-service advice from its Athens base. The five-partner firm has been in existence for over a century. Recent transactions and cases include acting with Reed Smith on a franchising operation involving a global restaurant company.
Reed Smith’s Greece managing partner John Reece said the alliance would enable the firms to provide “seamless expertise” both in Greece and internationally.
