Weil Gotshal & Manges is splitting its London head of dispute resolution role in two after the departure of practice head Juliet Blanch.

Blanch, who led Weil Gotshal’s dispute resolution practice in London, will be replaced by partners Hannah Field-Lowes and Jamie Maples.

Blanch was also in charge of the firm’s international arbitration and trade groups – acting on cases across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Field-Lowes was made up at the US firm in 2013, while Maples was promoted in 2011. He previously trained as a barrister at One Essex Court.

Blanch joined Weil Gotshal in 2010 from McDermott Will & Emery and was also a partner at legacy Norton Rose until 2005.

She is leaving Weil Gotshal to become an independent arbitrator as well as a consultant for junior female partners and law firms on issues of gender diversity.
