Watch exclusive comment from The Lawyer Business Leadership Summit’s two-day sessions, which gathered around 200 managing partners, chief executives and senior business services leaders in London to discuss innovation in the legal market.

The two-day event chaired by Jomati Consultants principal Tony Williams focused on business change and had a stellar line-up of speakers including K&L Gates global managing partner and chairman Peter Kalis, Essar Energy general counsel Sheena Singla and Pinsent Masons director of knowledge risk and legal services David Halliwell.

Keynote speaker Bas Boris Visser, Clifford Chance’s global head of innovation and business change, talked about how the legal industry is poised to change even more dramatically over the coming decade.

Women and diversity, the impact of technology, globalisation and regulation and the practical ways to implement change within firms and in-house teams were main themes highlighted in speeches, panel sessions and fireside chats.

Delegates were also given the results of The Lawyer Business Leadership Survey in a  session run by the Summit’s headline sponsor Thomson Reuters. Among the findings of the research, Pinsent Masons emerged as the nation’s favourite law firm because it invested and spent time getting to know clients and offering services they want.
