The employment team at Nabarro has hosted two roundtable breakfast seminars providing a high-level update on key employment law reforms.
The sessions were held in Sheffield and London and focused on five key areas of reform: ‘pre-termination negotiations’; employment tribunal fees; whistleblowing; collective redundancies; and TUPE.
Employers are interested in the new pre-termination negotiations but are wary of the many exceptions and limitations in this process. If used properly, these negotiations can allow employers to discuss confidentially a mutually agreed termination with their employees.
Meanwhile, the changes to the whistleblowing provisions are prompting employers to review their policies and procedures.
