In April, Mills & Reeve blogged on the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s (EHRC’s) guidance on complying with the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) from a procurement perspective.
The PSED requires public bodies when carrying out all their functions to have due regard to: the need to eliminate unlawful discrimination; promote equality of opportunity between people with different protected characteristics; and foster good relations between different groups.
