French firm Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés and Brazil’s Andrade Pannunzio Ricardo Foz Hypolito e Gabbai Advogados have entered into an association in a rare tie-up between the two countries.
The two firms will collaborate on work going both in and out of Brazil. They will remain independent, as required by bar regulations in Brazil.
The move follows last week’s announcement that Lefèvre Pelletier had entered into an alliance with Chinese firm TransAsia Lawyers (28 September 2012).
The firms have already worked together on transactions involving French clients investing in Brazil and Brazilian companies investing in China.
Andrade Pannunzio focuses on M&A, capital markets, banking, real estate, tax and employment law. Its larger French ally is full-service and now has offices in Algeria, China, Germany, Hong Kong and Tunisia as well as France.
