DLA Piper advises Discovery Networks Benelux on strategic partnership

DLA Piper has advised Discovery Networks Benelux on a strategic partnership with Viacom International Media Networks in the Netherlands to launch a joint sales house called BrandDeli.

BrandDeli will replace both Discovery and Viacom’s existing local ad sales businesses in the Dutch market and will represent an international collection of eight linear TV channel brands from both companies.

The new company is 50 per cent owned by both companies and was launched on 1 November 2013.

Discovery Networks Benelux was advised by Barbara van Hussen, Paulus Merks, Gabriël van Gelder (Amsterdam) and Alexandra Kamerling (London).
