Russian firm Pepeliaev Group has launched an office in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, making it the firm’s third office in the region after Moscow and St Petersburg.
The new office offers a full range of legal services, including advice on tax, corporate, anti-monopoly, land, employment, customs, commercial and intellectual property issues, administrative, criminal and litigation matters.
Tax specialist Egor Lysenko, who joined the firm’s Moscow office in February 2006, has relocated to Krasnoyarsk to head the base. His team currently comprises two other lawyers and there are plans to double the size of the team at a later stage.
Commenting on the new office, Pepeliaev Group managing partner Sergey Pepeliaev said: “The key factors behind the decision to open an office in Krasnoyarsk are the number of [our] clients in Siberia, the region’s high investment potential and the ever-increasing demand of Russian and foreign companies.
“We’re positive that Siberia will become a real centre for investments. Apart from a well-developed infrastructure, high-quality professionals and investment benefits, the region also offers vast undeveloped areas for new production facilities in such important industry sectors as fast-moving consumer goods, oil and gas, the mining and metals industry, high-tech industries, construction, transport and electric power.”
