Mishcon de Reya has chosen six companies to participate in a new ‘technology incubator.’

Some 19 companies pitched their products and ideas over one day in April, with half a dozen making the cut to be included in the incubator, named MDR LAB.

The six companies that Mishcon has chosen are Everchron, a company that provides ‘collaborative litigation management software’; Orbital Witness, which uses satellite imagery to help real estate lawyers; Ping, which automates timekeeping for lawyers and provides data analysis for law firms; SaltDNA, which claims that it “enables absolute privacy in mobile communications”; Surukam, an AI contract management tool; and Synergist, which provides a “secure cloud service to automate the negotiation of contract terms, allowing customers to draft, negotiate and sign contracts without redlines or email.”

For a 10-week period, all the companies will have access to Mishcon de Reya lawyers for advice and mentorship as they attempt to pilot and improve their products.

Nick West, Mishcon de Reya’s chief strategy officer and director of MDR LAB, said: “We are really excited and encouraged by the calibre of our chosen participants. We look forward to welcoming them into Mishcon de Reya, and contributing to their development over the coming months.”
