Osborne Clarke and Parabis among firms to increase promotions rounds

Osborne Clarke, Parabis, RPC and Shepherd & Wedderburn are the latest to reveal increased promotions rounds this year.

Osborne Clarke has made up five new partners in its largest domestic promotion round for three years. Last year the firm made up three lawyers to partner, two in Bristol and one in London in its first UK partner promotions round since 2011 (3 May 2013).

The latest promotions at Osborne Clarke are in addition to four partners made up by the firm in Germany in January, taking the total to nine this year.

Last year Parabis added 11 to its partnership in its first round of promotions since merging with Greenwoods in May 2013 (18 July 2013). Eight were from Plexus and three from Greenwoods.

RPC has made up three to its all-equity partnership in the firm’s latest round of promotions, two in insurance and one in competition. Last year the firm announced just one partner promotion, regulatory lawyer Robbie Constance.
