Law Society of Jersey appoints Mourant Ozannes’ Jonathan Speck as president

The Law Society of Jersey, the statutory regulatory body for advocates and solicitors of the Royal Court, has appointed advocate Jonathan Speck as its new president, in succession to advocate Timothy Hanson, who has stepped down after two years. Speck has been a partner at Mourant Ozannes since 1996 and was appointed managing partner of the firm’s Jersey office on 1 May 2014.

He is well known for his litigation work in high-value and complex trust disputes in Jersey, is a star-rated litigator in Chambers Global and is rated by Citywealth as one of the top five contentious trust lawyers in the world.

Speck speaks regularly on trusts and private client matters, both in Jersey and throughout the world.
