Daily Record names DLA Piper’s Franceschi as one of ‘Maryland’s Top 100 Women’

DLA Piper has announced that Kristin Franceschi, a Baltimore partner in the corporate, securities and public finance practices, has been named as one of ‘Maryland’s Top 100 Women’ by The Daily Record.

Franceschi’s practice focuses on representing issuers, underwriters, credit enhancers, portfolio managers and sponsors in connection with public and private offerings of municipal and corporate debt securities. She conducts tax analysis relating to tax-exempt financings and navigates the complexities of municipal financing. She has also represented clients in the negotiation and drafting of technology service contracts and licensing arrangements. She is a member of DLA Piper’s Derivatives Committee.

Franceschi is also an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Taxation and its Tax-Exempt Financing Committee. She has served as editor-in-chief of Federal Taxation of Municipal Bonds and chaired both the National Association of Bond Lawyers Opinions Committee and Bond Attorneys Workshop.

She currently serves as president of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. In 2013, Franceschi was elected to the American College of Bond Counsel.
