Simmons & Simmons has unveiled a reduced partnership round for 2013, taking seven partners into the fold compared with ten last year.
The London office has received the biggest boost with four partners promoted. Brussels, Milan and Paris, meanwhile, all received one each.
The four London partners are: litigator Navneet Juty; Michael Lorraine who focuses on capital markets; finance lawyer Penny Miller and EU and regulatory specialist Peter Broadhurst.
All three of the European promotions are in dispute resolution. They are Etienne Kowalski who specialises in the life sciences sector in Paris; Francesco Maruffi who has a focus on finance and asset management in Milan and commercial lawyer Olivier Mignolet in Brussels.
Of the new London partners two, Miller and Broadhurst, trained with the firm.
In a statement, senior partner Colin Passmore said: ‘‘The firm’s business plan envisages significant growth for the firm over the next few years, and the promotion of our home grown talent is integral to this.”
The firm is yet to open an office in Singapore, but Passmore says it is still on the agenda (23 July 2012).
