No5 Chambers’ Hashi Mohamed wins Pegasus Trust Scholarship for 2014 to Dubai

No5 Chambers has announced that Hashi Mohamed has been awarded the outgoing Pegasus Trust Scholarship for 2014 to Dubai. The award gives opportunities in foreign jurisdictions to barristers of up to five years’ practice.

The panel interviewing consisted of eminent individuals at the Bar of England and Wales, including His Honour Michael Brooke QC, The Hon. Justice Sales, James Guthrie QC and Patricia Edwards.

Mohamed’s time in Dubai will be partly spent with Al Tamimi & Co, the largest commercial law firm in the Middle East with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

His time will also be spent at the DIFC Courts, an independent, common law judicial system with exclusive jurisdiction over all civil and commercial disputes within the DIFC financial district, including bodies and companies registered in the DIFC.

Mohamed will spent eight to 12 weeks in Dubai starting from September/October 2014.
