Melbourne Press Club honours Minter Ellison’s Peter Bartlett with life membership

Peter Bartlett, the head of Minter Ellison’s media practice and recognised internationally as one of Australia’s foremost media and communications lawyers, has been made a life member of the Melbourne Press Club in recognition of his contribution to the club over 13 years.

In conferring the honour, the Melbourne Press Club Committee noted that Bartlett had been a vice-president of the club since 2001 and had helped to lay the foundations for the present strength of the association. He is the first non-journalist/editor to be awarded a life membership.

Minter Ellison partner David Poulton and special counsel Veronica Scott are also active in the Melbourne Press Club. At the recent club AGM, Poulton was re-elected as treasurer and Scott was elected to the committee.
