DLA Piper’s Gina Durham named to San Francisco Business Times’ ‘40 Under 40’ list

DLA Piper has announced that Gina Durham, co-chair of the firm’s US social media practice, has been recognised as one of San Francisco Business Times’ ‘40 Under 40’.

Each year, the publication’s editorial board selects the most influential and dynamic leaders across a variety of industries who have made significant contributions to the Bay Area economy.

San Francisco Business Times recognised Durham for her intellectual property practice, which focuses on enforcement and portfolio management in domestic and foreign matters, including those relating to rights of publicity and branding considerations for personal names and celebrities.

She has led brand protection efforts for some of the most well-known companies in the world, from trying one of the first cases to go to trial under the amended Federal Trademark Dilution Act to successfully pursuing multiple lawsuits against spammers infringing on the famous brand of a Fortune 500 company.

San Francisco Business Times also acknowledged Durham’s work as intellectual property pro bono counsel for Feeding America, a domestic hunger-relief organisation.
