Hogan Lovells has announced the launch of an inter-firm initiative — Noticed — that aims to promote networking opportunities to integrate, celebrate and educate on diversity within the legal sector. Noticed has been set up by eight city law firms: Addleshaw Goddard, Ashurst, Baker & McKenzie, Eversheds, Herbert Smith Freehills, Hogan Lovells, Simmons & Simmons, and Mayer Brown International.
The initiative will promote diversity and multiculturalism by making the legal industry more accessible, culturally aware and better equipped to address the challenges of the 21st century.
It will do this by encouraging more engagement from the legal community on the issue of multiculturalism through collaboration with the member firms’ existing diversity networks and programmes.
Noticed is open to the whole legal community, including fee-earners and business services, providing opportunities for individuals to interact on a social and professional level, and discuss issues on culture, initiate action for change and celebrate success.
Rashida Abdulai, associate at Hogan Lovells, and Bhavesh Patel, associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, have been appointed co-chairs of the initiative.
