Canadian firm Fasken Martineau has hired a duo of lawyers from Nixon Peabody’s Paris office in a bid to strengthen its employment team.
Nixon Peabody partner Ludovic Roche has joined Fasken as a partner along with associate Claire Lintingre, who will work in both the Paris and London offices. Roche moved to Nixon Peabody from SNR Denton two years ago (2 February 2011).
Roche advises both French and international companies on day-to-day employment matters as well as the labour aspects of restructuring and M&A transactions.
The hires follow the news earlier this week that McDermott Will & Emery had hired a trio of Fasken partners to build its energy team in Paris (4 March 2013), followed by the move of public and regulatory specialist Sylvain Beaumont to independent LMBE Avocats (5 March 2013).
Meanwhile a number of Nixon Peabody partners have now found new homes in Paris, following the US firm’s announcement late last year that it was closing its doors in the French capital (18 December 2012).
Stephenson Harwood was the first firm to announce a hire from the firm, picking up public law partner Olivier de Chazeaux (13 February 2013). Simmons & Simmons hired private equity partner Noro-Lanto Ravisy (19 February 2013) and corporate boutique Redlink swelled its ranks with two Nixon Peabody partners (25 February 2013).
