Simmons & Simmons senior partner Colin Passmore has been unanimously re-elected for a second term.
Passmore will commence his second term on 1 August 2013 for a period of four years.
In a statement released today Passmore said: ‘‘I am pleased to be continuing my work with Jeremy Hoyland and the firm’s board, to build on the firm’s many strengths, including our reputation for first-class client service.’’
Hoyland, Simmons’ managing partner, said: ‘‘This is a ringing endorsement of Colin’s first term in the role, and I look forward to working with him in the coming years to achieve the firm’s ambitious plans.’’
Passmore focuses on litigation for financial institutions, professional services firms and insurance entities.
He joined the firm in 1986, became a partner in 1990 and beat five other candidates to the post of senior partner in firm-wide hustings in March 2011 (28 April 2011).
He worked in the firm’s Hong Kong office from 1986 to 1991, and in Abu Dhabi in the early 1990s.
