His clinical negligence practice is wide ranging, acting on behalf of claimants and the NHSLA. Recent contested trials have been in the fields of cardiology, general surgery, vascular surgery, spinal surgery and ophthalmology.
Woolf’s personal injury practice covers all areas in this field, with a particular emphasis on accident at work (construction sites or at the workplace), military claims, disease work and catastrophic brain and spinal injury claims.
He has recently appeared on behalf of the applicant in two old scheme cases before the CICA involving non-accidental injuries to babies, resulting in awards of £7.9m and £5.6m. He regularly appears at inquests.
